K9 Handler – Bed Bug Detection
(Southern California Territory)
Green Dog Pest Service is seeking a reliable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Bed Bug Detection K9 Handler. This position is ideal for someone who thrives working independently, manages their schedule responsibly, and represents our company with professionalism. You will work with a trained detection dog to service a mix of property management companies, homeowners, hotels and pest control companies throughout Southern California.
Experience
Prior experience in pest control or K9 handling preferred but not required
Branch 2 Field Representative License preferred
Training available
Must be able to pass the Branch 2 Field Representative exam as a condition of employment
Must be able to pass an independent K9 team certification with your assigned detection dog
Job Expectations
Work independently without the need for micromanagement
Communicate professionally and discreetly with clients in sensitive situations
Manage multiple accounts, schedules, and service types across residential and commercial settings
Provide clear, accurate inspection notes and maintain professional conduct at all times
Requirements
Clean driving record
Able to pass a drug test and background check
Must be able to safely house a detection dog in your home overnight and on weekends
Comfortable driving throughout the territory and handling a working dog daily
