Green Dog Pest Service dogs are trained to locate and alert on live bed bugs and viable bed bug eggs only. Our dogs are specifically trained to not alert on dead bed bugs, their fecal matter or cast exoskeletons. We verify the alerts visually to confirm the dog's findings. This is an important aspect of our bed bug inspection services and one that sets us apart from other bed bug inspection companies. Each handler is licensed by the state as Branch 2 Field Rep. Our CA Pest Board licensed handlers provide property managers or hotel/lodging managers with an added measure of liability protection. Our K-9 teams are annually certified by an independent third-party testing organization. Certifying our K-9 teams by an independent third-party is another example of how we go the extra mile to make sure our teams are the best in the industry!

K9 Jimmy at the shelter

At Green Dog Pest Service, our commitment to excellence extends beyond pest detection to the humane treatment and training of our four-legged team members. Our exceptional detection dogs are carefully selected from shelters, rescues, and rehoming programs, embodying our dedication to both pest management and animal welfare. We take pride in our in-house training program, where our canines undergo rigorous training to become not only outstanding detection dogs but also exemplary companions. Emphasizing the importance of safety and excellent behavior, our teams are trained to coexist harmoniously with other dogs and seamlessly integrate into your home environment while they are inspecting your residence or business. At Green Dog Pest Service, we believe that a well-behaved and socially adept dog enhances both the detection process and your overall experience, ensuring a positive and reliable partnership in safeguarding your space from pests.
