Preparing for Your K9 Bed Bug Inspection
A few simple steps before your appointment will help ensure the most accurate inspection possible while providing a safe environment for both our K9 teams and your property.
Before We Arrive
Remove all pets from the inspection area. Pet bedding may remain.
Remove food items and dispose of any trash in the inspection areas.
Put away any fragile or breakable items that could be accidentally bumped during the inspection, especially near beds and seating areas.
Remove all pest control products, including glue boards, sticky traps, and rodent traps.
Secure medications and any items that could be harmful to our detection dogs.
During the inspection, we ask that you remain outside the search area to minimize distractions for the K9 team.
Areas We Cannot Inspect
For the safety of our handlers and detection dogs, we cannot inspect areas that:
Contain excessive clutter, debris, or trash.
Have powders on the floor, including Diatomaceous Earth, boric acid, carpet freshener, baking soda, or similar products.
Present safety hazards such as exposed carpet tack strips, needles, unstable furniture, or other dangerous conditions.
Appointment Policy
If the inspection cannot be completed because the property has not been prepared or unsafe conditions exist, the inspection fee will still apply.
